The purpose of this page is to share any
forms of media that relate to marketing that I find interesting and relevant to
my blog. While blog posts are weekly, this page will be updated more frequently
at times and less frequently at others.
*This video relates to marketing in the
sense that it approaches the topic of how to think. When we escape our default
thinking setting and move on to think in different ways, that's when great
ideas happen. If we seek to understand the way in which others think rather
than simply writing every stranger off as another person in our way, we gain
new perspective. Wallace's insight applies to more than just marketing, and I
highly recommend watching this video (seen below).
*Brands are more than just logos. Brands
are so many different things. Brands are a set of values, a guarantee of
quality, an experience. This relatively simple video (seen below) dives into the concept of
branding and what it really means.
*This is a TED
talk delivered by marketing wiz Seth Godin (seen below) that discusses the idea that doing
something "remarkable" is what gets your ideas to spread. Seth
describes what remarkable means to him and applies it to marketing topics such
as market segmentation, targeting, and positioning (I discuss positioning a
little more in my blog post called "Blog Post #6: Are You Winning or Losing?").
Godin is convincing and entertaining.
